Very good list! Did you know that in fact JFK was not the first president to say #4? The first pres to use that ringing sentence was Warren G. Harding.

#5 on your list still amazes me. One of my favorite political quotes is by Ronald Reagan: "Facts are stupid things."

I don't remember it exactly, but there was a politician who wrote to a local newspaper to correct a misquote. He had to tell them that he did not call another politician a 'squeeze bag', he'd called him a 'douche-bag'.

Nice List! One of my favorites is
"Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves."...Ronald Reagan. Happy T13!

Make sure you stop by Buck Naked Politics this week -- Damozel will LOVE this list!

It's a classic list. Scary, too. But also quite telling.

I like number 10 because I think it applies to many couples. I'm not saying it's right, just truthful.

Politicians...

Thanks for the laugh this morning. (and a gentle reminder I'd better vote this election for someone who can do more intelligent quotes...)

Great list.

I'd add this one, from Joe Biden on Tuesday night:

"And the irony is, Rudy Giuliani, probably the most underqualified man since George Bush to seek the presidency, is here talking about any of the people here. Rudy Giuliani... I mean, think about it! Rudy Giuliani. There's only three things he mentions in a sentence -- a noun, a verb, and 9/11. There's nothing else! There's nothing else! And I mean this sincerely. He's genuinely not qualified to be president."

Best moment in the debate, I thought.

Happy TT!
