Thursday Thirteen #38 . . . 13 "Best of CDs" On My Wish List . . .

In a previous post, I joked about my recent purchase of a "Best of " Elton John CD. Yes, I am one of the last remaining CD-purchasing hold-outs and I own a nice-sized collection of "best of" CDs. But as of late, I've been thinking about some of the music I'd love to have, but have yet to purchase. The following list contains a sampling of the artists whose "best of " CD I plan to own one day . . .

1) Eric Clapton

2) Neil Diamond

3) Earth Wind & Fire

4) Jimi Hendrix

5) Jackson Five

6) John Mellencamp

7) Stevie Nicks

8) Parliment/Funkadelic

9) Dianne Reeves

10) James Taylor

11) Temptations

12) A Tribe Called Quest

13) Tupac

Well, do you own any "best of" CDs? If so, what, if anything, would you like to add to your collection?

I'd add Nickleback and Melissa Etheridge. Great list. Happy T13!

I own a bunch of "best of" CDs. Yeah I know... big surprise. I have collections by #s 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 11 on your list.

There really aren't any "best ofs" that I would like to add to my collection. I'll likely continue to buy individual tracks that I like and make my own mixes.

I haven't heard of some of these! And the ones I've heard of aren't high on my wish list! I do like Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Jimi Hendrix, Earth Wind & Fire, and John Mellencamp, but I just wouldn't buy their "Best of" album.

But then again, I'm not much of "Best of" buying person. =)

I have the EW&F and love it. I also recommend Stevie Wonder's compilation CDs...he has so many great songs it takes multiple CDs, and even then it doesn't include all my faves!

Lol - I don't think I have any best of cd's but I do have 12 greatest hits by Neil Diamond. Does that count? Happy Thursday and I hope you get your cds. :)

I actually have Elton John, along with # 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, and 11. Yes I am a James Taylor fan!

I have Stevie Wonder and Luther Vandross best of CDs. I highly recommend them. Stevie's is a two-cd set and it still doesn't include all his hits!!!

I would like an Usher and Mary J. Blige best of collection if they ever put one out. Chaka Khan probably already has one. I'll have to put her on my list, too.
