2) A "sorry" however sincere, won't always make it right.
3) Cats don't generally do baths.
4) Not everyone who smiles in your face or showers you with praise has your best interest in mind.
5) If a kid looks like he's about to throw-up, he probably is.
6) Excessive bravado is typically a mask for fear.

Okay, I'm bad, I know (LOL). Of course, we all know when it comes to "lessons in life" 13 is just a start. If there are other lessons you'd like to mention, feel free to tack them on in the comments.

These are funny. Painfully funny, but funny nevertheless! (I think that if humans didn't have the advantage of opposing thumbs, cats would NEVER do baths!)
Thanks for visiting my TT.
Number one is a constant. I seem to have to learn that lesson over and over again.
About the paprika and red pepper thing.... You need to add cinnamon to that list too. Sometimes I don't read labels. I just see red and have made a LOT of mistakes. LOL!
Happy TT!
My Thursday Thirteen #3
TLC wrote a song about # 13 entitled "Girl Talk". You are absolutely right about # 6 and 7. I worked as a counselor for many years and found that the biggest bully was the most fearful and a very angry child is more hurt than anything else. Excellent observations.
So true, so true! I wish I could be 18 again and know what I know now!
Sometimes I think my kids don't comprehend # 10. My list is up too.
These lists are really fantastic. Your #s1, 10 are so true.
I love your lists....they always make me smile and I can so relate. Happy TT and thanks for stopping by.
I've found that "maybe" normally means "no". As for #12, asking a woman with a big stomach how far along she is a great way to get "five across the lip". I'm proud to say that I haven't been fool enough to ask such a question.
Nice list. One lesson that is best learned early is your mother is usually right. Have a great TT
Are you sure about #10? Because my kids seem to think that maybe is yes. And oh so very true about #12.
#2 #5 and #8 are sooooo true! Loved your list.
Loved #s 12 & 13, so true!
Thanks for visiting!
Number one works for me.

The one about the kid looking like he was gonna throw up, is so true. So terribly true!
Mine's up here!
This is a great list. Can I borrow? I'd like to share it with friends. :o)
I hear you. Thanks for putting words around some otherwise very lonely experiences.
Oh man! I dealt with #5 today...ick!
My Thursday Thirteen is up too! :)
Great list so very true on all of those Happy TT & your book cover looks great
How true. Every one of them are true. Especially #13. Ain't it the truth. Have a great TT, and you aren't bad in my book. :)
Good list. My kids are completely convinced that maybe does mean yes. I guess we taught them that, and I guess it is really the intonation in which we say may be that convinces them it is not a no. Happy TT.
Those are so true!
Happy TT!

#9 cracked me up. :P
Happy belated TT.
All I could do was nod (and laugh) through the whole thing. There is a lot of wisdom and living in this list.
