Hey, I know I'm late (smile). I just wanted to let you all know I'm still around. I had a great time in Memphis. There's never enough time to see everyone or do everything. My apologies to those I didn't find time to call or visit. I'll catch you on my next run through town. Some of y'all I'm kicking to the curb in 2009 for not even making a half-a$$ attempt to say, "Hey," to a sister. You know who you are (LOL).
ANYWAY, as always, I enjoyed plenty of Memphis style barbecue and blues. I experienced a number of sad, funny and profound moments, some of which I hope to share in the coming days. Also, I've been assessing what worked well for me and what didn't work so well over the last year . . . not only as it pertains to writing and publishing, but relationships too.
I'm a big believer in the line of thought which suggests that if you keep doing the same dang thing and getting the same dang results, perhaps it's time to try a whole new approach (smile). So look for me to do a bit of stretching and house-cleaning in 2009. That's my only resolution for the new year. What about you?

I do like the simplicity of your New Year's resolution. I say let's all "Do Better". Happy New Year.
Thanks RadioGirl. "Do Better" works for me too (smile). May we all shine in 2009!
I like your interpretation of doing the same thing the same way and expecting the same result...I've always heard the end of that phrase as the 'true definition of insanity'. Yours is much more positive, though I can surely say I know some folks who typify the truly insane on that basis!
Best wishes for a fantastic 2009, we all deserve it.
Michelle,
Yes, "insanity" is one way of describing that behavior. But most folks who ascribe to it are quick to justify their actions if you dare question them (smile).
Happy New Year Lori,
Sorry I am late, but I been a little under the weather and not blogging as a result. Anyhow I hope everything goes your way this year. Thanks for the laughs, knowledge, "After The Dance" and all the good times you shared through your blog last year! I don't do resolutions because they never work out, but if I can do a bit better on my shortcomings that will be good enough for me. Be Blessed :-)
Pjazzy,
I hope you're feeling better soon. I usually take ill this time of the year too. I think being out and about so much, increases the exposure to germs (smile).
Thanks for the best wishes. If even a lil bit goes my way this year, I'll be grateful.
I'm resolving to be a better friend and writer, and a financial success despite the economy. I also want to enjoy the life I have more instead of always thinking about the life I want. Cheers to 2009!
Keith,
Good point about enjoying the life we have insteading of obssessing over the life we desire. I'm adding that one to my list (smile).
