At my last book signing in Memphis, I'd dare say, just as many men as women purchased a copy of After The Dance. The fellas you see above are members of the Men's Renaissance Book Club, a group which meets on a regular basis at the North Branch Library in Memphis, TN. They kept me laughing!

That sounds great. I remember once I told a female friend of mine that me and a group of my friends would get together and discuss books, life, etc. She said she would love to be a fly on the wall when men get together to discuss such things.
I remember when I was a kid I always enjoyed hearing older men discuss things. It always seemed so interesting to hear my elders talking and debating things. When I visit the states I will have to pick up the book.
Hey Ehav E.,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You know, whenever folks tell me "men don't read" I'm always tempted to respond, "Well, maybe the men you know, don't read . . ." (smile)
I think that's great - there are tons of men on Goodreads participating in book discussions - I think it stems from school days when it wasn't cool for a guy to be book smart - that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I encourage all children I know to read - boy or girl. All it takes is to find a subject that draws them in and the book will do the rest.
Congrats on your books - quite an accomplishment - not once, but soon to be twice!!!
